Ottawans need our help!

Sewing for Ottawa is a volunteer initiative that came together to help Ottawans during the COVID-19 outbreak.

Phase 1 “Sewing for Frontliners” is now complete.  In 2 months we donated:

  • Scrub caps: 7392
  • Headbands with buttons:  7281
  • Ear savers:  665
  • Isolation Gowns: 80
  • Non-medical masks: 5000

We are now into Phase 2 “Sewing for Residents”

We are donating non-medical masks to vulnerable and low-income populations via organizations that serve these residents, like food banks, shelters, community resource centres, etc.

If you are an organization serving our vulnerable neighbours, and you would like to help us distribute to your clientele, please send us an email to info@ottawahandmade.com to discuss your needs.

Make a donation

If you would like to make donation towards the cost of materials, you can do so via our GoFundMe page (link below) or via e-transfer to info@ottawahandmade.com.

Please remember that the best way to keep our communities safe from the spread of COVID-19 is to stay at home, practice social distancing, and wash your hands with soap when returning from essential trips outside the home.
